History

Katie and Jaime are members of the progenitor species of wolf from which the Golden Retriever breed was derived.  The "Northeastern Deep Forest Honey Color Coated Golden Brush Wolf"  also known as the "Honey Wolf" . (canus lupus lycaon rutilus dulcis)

There are five subspecies of wolf-The Honey Wolves are a sub species of the Eastern Timber Wolf. (canis lupus lycaon) .  The Honey Wolf, however, is the only non-predatory wolf ever known to man.  They are completely incapable of harming any living thing and that is why Golden Retrievers today are so inherently gentle, good-natured and friendly.

This page is dedicated to educating the public on this species of wolf, their descendants the Golden Retriever, behavior, habitat, and socialization.
